In partnership with Microsoft, the Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the Région Grand-Est, the Josephine Baker project is a cultural tribute to the memory of this illustrious woman.

Enjoy the different stages of Josephine Baker’s life through this experience. This holographic application plunges you into the life of a Parisian stage icon, with her exotic dances and unique charisma. Then it presents her participation in the war effort in the French armed forces and the Resistance. And finally, her social struggles, which she fought until the end of her life.
An ambitious project
The development of this prototype required several technological integrations. These included motion capture, a recurring tool in Asobo’s video game productions. This allows us to animate our avatar by perfectly reproducing the movements of a human body in a virtual space.
The IoT also enters the dance, with a vintage radio connected to the holographic experience, enabling interaction between the real and virtual settings. A further step towards user immersion.
